Reminder 10/18 is WGS Pink Out & Teacher vs. Volleyball Game at 1pm . Concessions for purchase will be available at the volleyball game. Parents of volleyball players are invited to attend but must sign-in at the front office prior to the game beginning. Parents of players will need identification to sign-in.

Silver bear will be extremely late today. I will send a message when it leaves the school so you can be prepared with your child out by the road, but it is coming.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16 is Unity Day. This is a signature event of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. To participate in Unity Day, individuals, schools, communities, and businesses wear or share orange to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent students being bullied.

Reminder: Cross Country Meet at LMS Wednesday at 4:00. Bring your uniform to school. If you need a ride there, let us know. Parents must pick up their runner at LMS after the race, approximately 5:00.

After meeting with Glades County Emergency Management this morning, the Glades County School District has decided to also cancel school for Thursday, October 10th. There will be no school on October 8th through October 10th. We will continue to update everyone as we are updated.

Glades County Schools & District Office will be closed on Tuesday & Wednesday due to the approaching storm. The safety of our students & staff remains our top priority. Glades County School District is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Milton. Currently, the National Hurricane Center places Southwest Florida inside the cone of uncertainty for a Category 2 hurricane on Wednesday morning. Increased rainfall is expected to start Sunday and into Monday.
The School District will work with the Glades County Emergency Operations Center to receive the latest information, which will then be shared with you! As soon as a decision is made concerning school closures, we will announce via social media, District Website, and School Messenger/Thrillshare.
