Amy Carr was born and raised in Wakefield, Rhode Island, where she attended Rhode Island College and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  Following graduation, Amy trekked the many miles to settle in Okeechobee, Florida where she was hired to teach 5th grade at Seminole Elementary School.  Throughout the 11 years since her initial hiring, Amy earned her master’s degree in reading, has taught 4th and ...5th grade at the elementary level, and most recently instructed 6th grade reading and science at the middle school level.  While teaching is one of her many loves, Amy also relishes time spent outdoors, settling down with a good book, and enjoying time with family and friends who  continue to have a positive and rewarding impact on her life.

The Glades County School Board would like to invite you to celebrate Ms. Carr, and all of our outstanding educators, at our annual Golden Apple Celebration on January the 11th, at 7:00 pm, in the MHMHS Auditorium.
