On Tuesday, November 10th at the Glades County Auditorium the Moore Haven Middle High School Student Council presented "A Salute to Veterans".  The program was a wonderful tribute to our Veterans and included entertainment by the MHMHS Chorus along with the MHES Kindergarten classes.

The program begin with the Pledge of Allegiance being led by Hannah Moss, 6th Grader at MHMHS.  Mr. Tim Wilder, Principal of MHMHS introduced the class Presidents and welcomed the Veterans and community.

Class Presidents, Kate Perry (Senior), Qlivia Everett (Junior), Brooks Bass (Sophmore) and Austin Lee (Freshman) read several writings from Veterans of wars of the past and also told of the way Veterans Day was concieved and why we celebrate.

The event ended with the VFW Essay winners presenting there essays to the crowd.  Maricela Rubio (Voice of Democracy) and Reese Davis (Patriots Pen).

This is the 2nd Annual Veterans program the Student Council has presented with hopes of it becoming a tradition enjoyed by all of the community.  Thank you to Bryan Browning for coordinating the wonderful music.  Also, Nicole Davis, Max Manin and Noel Goodwin for assistance on the VFW Essays and Samantha Rhymes for her time and effort put in to the program to make it such a success.
